The Eat 17 brand, known for its combination of innovative convenience store, fresh deli and bistro, is opening two new stores this year, one in Hammersmith and one in Leytonstone. The Hammersmith store will feature food stalls and a space for visitors to sit, eat and drink.
With a small chain of award-winning convenience stores, Eat 17 is also known for its own branded products, its butcheries, high-end convenience foods, and emphasis on using local produce.
Eat 17’s co-founder, James Brundle, said: “A whole lot of research goes into the food that we choose to put in stores, from sampling street food at festival stands, to taking inspiration from food markets in the capital.”
Brundle continued: “We love to bring the best of the best into our stores, and we’re not just stopping at food – we have extended our offering to local non-food businesses such as florists and barbers.”
The aim with the Fulham store and food market will be for its offering to reflect the locality and the wants and needs of residents.
The company, which sprang to life in 2006, now has stores in Walthamstow, Hackney, Whistable in Kent, and Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire.
