London’s an urban jungle, but it’s still possible to have a fine old time beside the seaside without ever leaving the city for the nearest coastline.
How so? Urban beaches are not uncommon these days in the capital, and one of the best of these beaches just so happens to be in Fulham.
Yes, you heard that correctly. Fulham.
Neverland London has returned with Fulham Beach Club, Fulham’s urban beach by the River Thames, and it’s proving a hit with locals and visitors alike.
Fulham’s very own urban beach first popped up last summer, where it was visited by more than 100,000 people. Its popularity prompted a welcome return this summer, with the beach club opening just in time for the warm and sunny weather.
Located on Wandsworth Bridge Road, Fulham Beach Club knows how to treat its guests. The venue has day beds, beach huts, cabanas, bars, pop-up restaurants, pizza parlours, live DJs, games, events, yoga sessions, cocktail masterclasses, film screenings on a BIG screen (and World Cup coverage to satisfy football fans), and much more. Oh, and sand. A LOT of sand.
There are also membership options available for those who plan to spend multiple days on the beach.
When the sun is shining, and everyone else in heatwave-hit London is dreaming of a seaside resort or coastal idyll, why be anywhere else than Fulham Beach Club?
Fulham Beach Club opened on May 3rd and will remain open until the end of August 2018.
